Ecuador History

Ecuador was established by the Shiris. The Inca invaded the country in the mid-15th century. Central part of the country, where Indian slaves worked, was created by the Spanish. In the 18th century, as the Department of the South, Ecuador joined New Grenada and Venezuela, formed the Federation of Gran Colombia. It should be said that Spanish rule lasted until the early 19th century. The independence of Ecuador was declared in 1830, at the same time Ecuador seceded from Gran Colombia. Ecuador’s economic development took place because of the sharp increase in world oil prices in the late and mid 70s. Nowadays Ecuador has substantial petroleum resources.
